Falcade is a well-known ski resort located in a large basin, in the Biois valley, and dominated by the imposing Focobon group. It is part of the Alpe Lusia / San Pellegrino Ski Area and is connected by skis to the San Pellegrino Pass thanks to the Col Margherita slopes. From the town, go up to the top with the Le Buse cable car.
Among the slopes of the Veneto side, the very long Pista degli Innamorati should undoubtedly be remembered, which from 2514 meters of Col Margherita reaches the village of Falcade after 12 km: it is the last stretch of the ski tour of the Emotions, an itinerary that can arrive or depart. from Falcade or Moena, from Passo S. Pellegrino or from Castelir di Bellamonte.
In Falcade 8 lifts, 5 chair lifts and 3 ski lifts, 13 very panoramic slopes, suitable for all types of skier. 4 chairlifts and a cable car connect Falcade with the skiable area of Passo San Pellegrino giving the opportunity to ski on 60 km of slopes always well prepared for alpine skiing.
For cross-country lovers there is the Falcade Cross-Country Center, located in the town center and covered by programmed snow, with 4 rings, 2 red for 11.5 km and 2 blue for 5 km. It is possible to ski at night on 2 km of illuminated slopes in the town center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
Children can have fun at the "Falcaland" playground in Le Buse.
Falcade is part of the Tre Valli - Alpe Lusia / San Pellegrino ski area (Val di Biois in Veneto, Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme in Trentino) which includes the ski resorts of Passo San Pellegrino, Moena - Alpe Lusia, Falcade and Bellamonte and is included in the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel. The connection between Falcade and Passo San Pellegrino is possible on skis thanks to the slopes of Col Margherita. From the village of Falcade, go up to the top with the Le Buse cable car. To reach Moena and Lusia you need to take the shuttle bus which connects the 2 ski areas in 15 minutes.
In the Tre Valli skiable state property you can ski on 100 km of slopes while your gaze admires the Monzoni chain, the Marmolada, the Pelmo, the Civetta, the Agner, the Vajolet towers and the Pale di S. Martino group.
There is a marked itinerary, the Ski Tour of Emotions, which connects all three valleys in the Alpe Lusia / San Pellegrino ski area. The Ski Tour of Emotions can be done by skiers of average experience. It is about 50 km long in a ring that includes four starting points: Ronchi di Moena, Falcade, Passo San Pellegrino or Castelir di Bellamonte / Alpe Lusia.
From Falcade, thanks to 3 chairlifts, you go up to 2513 m of Col Margherita and with the La VolatA descent you reach the slopes of the San Pellegrino Pass, an obligatory passage to reach the skiing paradise between Cima Uomo and Costabella. A free ski bus quickly takes you to the departure point of the Ronchi-Valbona cable car. From here with the lifts you can reach "Le Cune" at 2210 meters, and Lake Paneveggio in the heart of the natural park of the same name, near Passo Valles. From there start 6 km of slopes that lead to Castelir di Bellamonte. Finally, from Passo Valles you descend to Falcade along a path of 11 km: the lovers' track.
